Bell throat profile: M (medium)

 

Alloy: lacquered yellow brass.

 

Bell flare: fixed.

 

Valve compression: very good.


 

Overall condition:  generally good; the horn's owner

 

writes: “in fantastic condition apart from a small bit of

 

lacquer wear”. This is merely a cosmetic issue on the outer

 

bell spout,  and does not detract from the horn’s very good

 

playing qualities.

 

Weight: 2.6kg

 

Adjustable finger hook.

 

Water key (conventional type) on the leadpipe.

 

Case: original hard case in good condition.  

 

Further details: an unusually fine example of this updated,

 

superior replacement for the old and very heavy 'traditional'

 

Lidl 60-years old model of double horn.

 

It has a clear, ringing sound on the Bb side,

 

and on the F horn a full, rounded low register.
