Thomann-style copy of an older ALEXANDER

103,  made in the Far East.

Bore / throat: medium

Alloy: nickel silver

Bell flare: detachable

Valve compression: excellent

Water key: conventional type, on the leadpipe.

Adjustable finger hook.

Weight: 2.73 kg,  0.23 kg heavier than a typical

current Alex 103 (2.50 kg) with detachable bell

flare, which is itself slightly 'on the heavy side'

at 450 grams (about 16 oz/ 1lb)

Visual / cosmetic condition: only lightly used;

however, the alloy has visually dulled in some of the

inaccessible places.

Further details: this inexpensive double horn plays

very well, fairly similar, but not identical, to an

older-style Alexander 103, which is exactly what it

sets out to do!

Housed in a Thomann-style case with backpack straps, it represents ‘a lot of horn for your money’: its price is only about 17% of what an equivalent lightly used Alexander 103 would cost!

The photos can be viewed in greater detail

by opening and saving them.
