Further details: A very good example of this

model, an excellent player over the whole range.

Although it is rather 'visually challenged', due to its

worn and 'browned' lacquer in several places, many

players will regard this as relatively unimportant

compared to its very fine playing qualities.

The extra facility of stopping on the F alto side

without the need for transposition makes this a

particularly useful horn for contemporary music, as

well as, of course, its other superb feature:

an easeful high register in baroque/classical

repertoire, e.g. Bach Cantatas and

Haydn 'alto' symphonies.
