A superb French piston horn by COUESNON, made in 1920,

 

with an F crook and a French mouthpiece with a narrow shank

 

that fits the crook's small receiver. 

 

Despite this narrow 'start' of the crook, the horn is very free-

 

blowing, and  has an unusually clear, 'slotted'

 

and ringing high register.
