serial number 11788

Visual / cosmetic: good. Most of its formerly rather
shabby lacquer has been removed.

'Retro' case, heavy but very protective.
NB: also supplied for no extra cost is a very
compact, lightweight (but rather unprotective) gig
bag that will definitely fit in even the smallest
plane locker; one should make sure that nobody
throws a laptop or suitcase on top of it!
See photos 3, 4, 7 and 8.
Further details: A very good example of this
model, an excellent player over the whole range.
The extra facility of stopping on the F alto side
without the need for transposition makes this a
particularly useful horn for contemporary music, as
well as, of course, its other superb feature:
an easeful high register in baroque/classical
repertoire, e.g. Bach Cantatas and
Haydn 'alto' symphonies.
Optionally available for £440 is a 'long F'
detachable extension incorporating a rotary
change valve for A+. This can be seen in
photo 2.
