Model:  5 valve compensator in F/Bb/A+

 

Alloy: nickel silver

 

Bell flare: detachable

 

Bell throat: medium-large

  A superb, craftsman-made, very lightweight 'half double' or

 

'compensator' with an exceptionally full-sounding and free

 

blowing F side, unusually so for a compensator, and a high

 

register that is clear and well 'slotted'.



Made by (as engraved on the bell) KARL DRESSEL

 

Bauermeister, in the legendary 'brass instrument region' of the

 

former East Germany, MARKNEUKIRCHEN, it is a superb

 

vintage instrument that is a 'piece of history' and a very

 

fine player.
