A superb PAXMAN compensating triple

(F/Bb/F alto) in yellow brass, with a fixed bell-

flare.

Made in 1984, Merewether System, serial number 1842,

the horn is in good overall condition, with just

a few slight cosmetic blemishes in the usual,

expected places.

Although its bell-throat is 'Medium' taper, it is very free-

blowing, and every note is exactly where it should be.

It is fitted with two conventional style water keys,

one on the Bb/F leadpipe and the other on the F loop.

The neoprene rotor buffers / stops were replaced very

recently, resulting in a very smooth valve action.

The horn (weight 2.74 kg) comes in a Paxman fibreglass

case in very good condition.

A really lovely example of this classic pre-1985

design at a very reasonable price.
